I let out a long sigh, thinking again about how I messed it all up. I’m not with Melissa, and it’s still awkward to hang out with Jasmin. But not as Worm.

An idea hits me, and I head to a storage room, grabbing an Alliance burner phone that we keep on hand. I input Jasmin’s number into it and head back to my room, typing out a text message. It’s just a simple message, but my thumb hovers over the “send” button, and I nervously try to decide if I should send it. It’s past midnight, so she might not even be awake. I hit the button.
